This policy explains how Bunther handles information when you use the mobile app, visit bunther.app, or contact support.
1. App data and accounts
Bunther stores tasks and optional details such as first steps, estimates, and schedules, plus focus sessions, preferences, and progress, on your device. When cloud backup is available, Bunther uses Supabase to sign you in and back up eligible records under your account so you can sync and recover them. A guest account uses an anonymous account identifier. If you save an account with an email address, we use that address for sign-in, account verification, and recovery.
Reminders, when enabled, are scheduled by the app on your device and use generic wording. You can control reminder permissions in your device settings.
2. Optional analytics and diagnostics
Collection is off by default. If your version supports it and you opt in, PostHog receives limited feature events and an anonymous installation identifier. Sentry receives scrubbed error diagnostics such as stack frames. These services help us understand how features work and fix problems. Bunther excludes task names, first steps, email addresses, screenshots, and session replays from these reports. You can turn off Optional diagnostics in Settings to stop future collection.
3. Website and support
This website uses Cloudflare for delivery and security. Cloudflare may process network information such as your IP address and request details to serve and protect the site. The website itself sets no analytics cookies and includes no advertising trackers. If you email support, we use the address, message, and any attachments you provide to answer you and handle your request. Cloudflare routes incoming support mail to our Gmail inbox. Resend can deliver outgoing support replies.
4. Service providers
We use service providers to host, secure, support, and operate Bunther and to handle optional diagnostics as described above. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the service or its users. We do not sell your personal data or use task content for ad targeting.
5. Retention and deletion
Cloud account data is kept while your account is active. Clearing local data removes records and pending changes from your device. If your cloud account is still active, backed-up data can download again. Unsynced changes can be lost when you clear local data or uninstall the app.
Use Delete account for in-app instructions or to request deletion by email. Deleting an account removes the account and its active cloud records, including backed-up tasks, sessions, preferences, and progress. Copies on other offline devices may remain until those devices reconnect or you clear them. A local reset cannot remove diagnostics that have already been sent. We keep support messages as needed to handle requests and may keep limited records as needed for security or legal obligations.
6. Your choices and contact
To ask about your data or request access, correction, or deletion, email support@bunther.app. We may verify that you own the account before acting on a request. We’ll publish changes to this policy and the updated effective date on this page.
